lots of bummers here, I would love to keep it but building a stand to fit it would not come in at under 64". I only have space for 60" stand. I have cherry stain!

no I actually took my CSi3 from the bedroom and hooked it and played for a few days to dial it in and it sounded just as good, having a good sub made up all the difference.

The Wife said the 5 cant stay on top of the dresser so it must go.

I know swabeerob213 is first in line and I don't have 100 posts to do any transaction in the forum. But how much would shipping to 80210 for the CSi5 cost? Thats a good price, I would have picked it up if I were local. :(:

Sorry, I don't want to ship the beast, as a warehouse guy I have no problems packing to ship the problem I have is I have been burned to much on online private party transactions.

The new stand is almost done 3/4 oak 290dmr1mxer1.jpg

That is just a mock up held together by just the dowels, no glue or nails yet.

Totally acceptable and respect your decision on not shipping.
I have been burned on an online transaction once too.
But if you do decide to ship it, let me know. I hope I can hold off buying a CSi3 through polk ebay store.

Thats a nice stand you are building. I wish I had that kind of craftsmanship.

If you insure the speaker then how can you get burned? Fyi this is the polk forum, a place where you can accidentally send out a pair of 10k speaker cables and have them returned. Your in good hands here MrL so fear not!

USPS said it delivered the package, buyer said he didn't receive it (although I am sure he did). Paypal ruled it against the seller.
It wasn't anything expensive so I didn't really care and issued a refund, but it sure does make grounds for trust issues. Some people are just plain cheap, trying to take advantage of buyer friendly paypal rules.
Thats why I said, I respect OP's decision not to ship.
    Good luck man.
Just noticed, CSi3 price went up at their ebay store. WTF.

sucks too, I cant get a new CSi3 till I sell the 5. Wife's rule no more speakers so no problem "more" I have 14 total in this house. In short I cant have more than 14 and she can't get pissed.

I was going to glue and nail the new stand today but it's actually raining in San Diego. got to wait for a sunny day, tomorrow.

PFB, let me see you try that with a handful of Forum "members" that have been around about two months and have twenty-some posts each and see how it works out for you.

I have been burned for over a couple grand from ebay and other forum boards. I sold a guy a 2 speed fishing reel that was $500. After the tracking said he signed for it he said he never received it. Got me band from my favorite fishing forum and I was out the reel and money for two years. Got lucky I was on a trip and a guy by the same name was on the boat and had the same reel. One night I took it off the and looked at the inside of the frame and got my reel back. He complained to the skipper till I told the skipper what had happened, with my engraving on the frame, I left the boat with the reel.

Now THAT has "Classic PFB Thread" written all over it!

If this post was directed towards me, then I would like to clarify that I am definitely not a kind of person who would burn someone who is helping me.
I even wrote that I respect OP's decision not to ship and posted I don't have enough posts to do any transactions on this forum. It is entirely upto the seller whether he wants to sell to a person with 20 posts or 2000 posts.
Oh and everyone starts with a single post. I am new to speakers and just starting in this scene, how am I supposed to have 100 posts when I am trying to piece together a system and don't have much questions or have knowledge to answer questions that other members have. I am not going to go and type random stuff on every post just to get my post number up to do any transaction.
But I do see where you are coming from. As I have said, I have been burned once on an online transaction too so totally understand how "trust" on the internet can come back and bite you.
If someone wanted to check my credibility, I have more than 5000 posts on bmw and audi forums (with the same username) and done transactions there with 100% feedback. 100% feedback on ebay as a buyer (I don't sell much on ebay).
It doesnt matter on this thread anyway because OP's is not going to ship the speaker, but my point is, every new member is not here to con people.

Sorry OP, didn't mean to derail the thread. GLWS.

It is entirely upto the seller whether he wants to sell to a person with 20 posts or 2000 posts.

    Not on here it isn't.

There's plenty of threads you can post in like what you're listening to, what movie you've seen and other general BS. You'll have a 100 in no time.

It would've been a nicer ending if you had said that that A-hole had left the boat after slipping over the rail... accidentally, of course.

Glad you got your reel back finally,

So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?
