As most of you guys know I have multiple sets of speakers that I do use and switch off from time to time. Now I clearly noticed when my pre is lets say set at 9:00 and then switch to the 2bs the house stats to rumble and I do need to turn them down. So does this one thing make them more efficient than my other sets ? Is there a rated efficiency for 2Bs?
The after thought, I always wanted an amplifier that well would not clip, over heat or just not cut it and now that that I have one in the Adcom 555 I feel I never needed 200 watts a side for any speaker I was going to get. Gee even Klipsch used to brag that a 10 watter could push their corner horns they were that efficient.I get there is more than watts at work here w/ current draw and all but does one really need 200 wpc.Remember wanting and needing are 2 entirely different things.
