Well,
ignoring the negative reviews I took a flier on this sub. Never abused.
Now clicks and dead. This has very low milage so it is a shame.
Checked the fuse. looks o.k. though I can replace RSN. I get the red power LED.
A couple of months old. It looks like 80 bucks to ship this back to Polk so... Ideas?
Someone on Amazon suggested DA backplate as a replacement.
I guess I'll call Polk tomorrow for suggestions.

Under warranty?

yes sir.

Then I wouldn't think you'd be on the hook for shipping. I could be wrong though...

Thanks Ken,
that is what it says...
I have to chock it up to act of God.

I should have posted this in troubleshooting methinks...

Hello,
You won't have to send the complete sub back to Polk. They'll help you troubleshoot the cause of the problem and either ask you to send just that part in (woofer or amp) or send you a replacement part.
Give them a call to: 1-800-377-7655 and have serial number and date and place of purchase handy. Or, email to: polkcs@polkaudio.com
Cheers, Ken -
Thanks a lot Ken! Sent an email with the info. I'm wondering if this would
have happened if I had turned it on and off instead of leaving it in standby?Post edited by [Deleted User] on -
I've had my sub on standby for 12 years....
