On my way up here to NJ last Saturday, I was lucky enough to hook up with Mark (dorkowhatever) and Micah for a few beers in Balitmore.

We hit a few bars, talked about audio and Polk and so forth and had a GREAT time, well, except for Micah trying to cop a feel on my package on the ride home.

Anyhow, wanted to thank Mark and Micah for the hospitality and so forth, GREAT guys, both of 'em. Looking forward to getting to meet F1 as well, next weekend.

Thanks guys!!

George said he is flying this weekend so he doesn't know if he'll be able to hang out. I don't know if you talked to him yet or not.

Hey it was great to finally meet Troy...he is even better in person...he actually exists! Troy has hooked me up on a couple deals that I cannot begin to thank him for, but will certainly do so monetarily and with as much hospitality as he can stand. Nothing like having two sets of speakers delivered to your door, by a friendly face. And if you think that a pair of RTA-12C's, DQ-10's and three people cannot fit in an Audi....you are mistaken. It is possible albeit uncomfortable for the two other Polk freaks, haha.....

Micah, as always, is coool as a cucumber, but has a strange early bedtime routine that is odd for a single man ;)

It is always nice to talk shop with Micah because he is honest and really has a drive for what he does at Polk Audio. How on earth they created such a outstanding crew, from a loose rambling of individuals....boggles me. It is a breath of fresh air for us fanatics.

Hey Troy, you know by posting that room # you will now be written on every restroom wall and pickle park bulletin board from NJ to MD :D

Man, I can't BELIEVE those things fit in the Audi. I didn't think we'd get just the RTA's in there! WAY cool car. Oh, and I still have the 'stands' for the DQ's, make sure I give them to you.

Far as the deals go, my pleasure. Glad to see them passed on to someone who will appreciate 'em.

How cool is it to talk shop about your favorite hobby and favorite company with someone on the inside? That was a great, great time. Looking forward to next weekend too. I can't wait FINALLY get an SDA demo. Man, 5 yrs on these boards and still haven't heard SDA.

As far as the early bedtime, there was probably a Peter North double feature on the Spice channel or some such......

My Grandpa (76) still strong as a bull, drinks his congac every single day, from dusk til' dawn :( . I think he uses alcohol to gear him up so he could function well for the whole day. But I love him dearly though, he is my idol when it comes to drinking :D .

It was two big Brooklyn Brewing Co Black Chocolate Stouts on an empty stomach that threw me for a loop. But giving Troy a lap dance was not in my plans. I couldn't help myself. He was so cute.

He's going to be peeved when I ditch him on his way back to "babysit" my parents, of all things.

Oh, and I meant to say this:

One of the great things about working for this company (ONE, I said) is getting to meet people who enjoy entertainment and our product.

This whole grass roots "gathering" thing is really great too.

There are times when reported meetings between Club members, including our Moderators, seem a little "too" friendly...

Maybe it's just me, but it strikes me that Troy is involved in a significant number of them...

Micah makes Matt Polk look like a schoolgirl, he is a 100% pure Hobbit pimp. He was knocking chicks down with this line, "Hey, wanna see a funny bumper sticker?"

Well, I'll be rolling out of NJ in a few hours, headed to visit with F1 and so forth.......was lucky enough to spend some time with George and his family on this trip as well which is ALWAYS a treat and something that I look forward to every time I pass this way.

I'm telling you, say what you want, but I feel really fortunate, all the gear deals I've been privvy to, to meet some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet through the forum.
