I thought it was kinda weird that we haven't seen him in a while. Come to think of it, since the forum changeover happened. I hope he is doing OK.

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Thanks gents, all is well. For the most part I don't post on forums anymore.I have become more of a reader and follow a couple of audio and archery/ hunting forums digging for info on interesting DIY projects, archery gear reviews.etc.

To be honest the upheaval here in the early days of the change over was off putting so my interest waned.

Rich,I'm not sure why your email would get bounced.Nothing has changed on my end.

Glad your OK. I always enjoyed your builds, from the Fun & Simple DAC (I think that is what it was) to your Twisted Pear stuff....

Hey Fred! I am pleased all is well. I read more into the email and it said sbcglobal.net was blacklisted? I tried my gmail and same thing happened.

Yeah, Fred has sure helped me out too and got me to build the DAC I currently have.

Thanks Ender.I still shake my head when I hook up one of the little cheap and cheerful DAC,s.While they are no Twisted Buf III they IMO sound a lot better than they should for the cost involved.I would highly recomend either for anyone looking for a great budget DAC and not afraid of inhaling some solder smoke.

Ohoh!Dang Rich lately I have been agressively blacklisting Asian spammers.Maybe I got your domain by accident? I don't usually blacklist email from Merica.Odd as well your email should not have been in my spam filter in the first place.Any way I will have to figure out how to rectifier that.
...and got me to build the DAC I currently have.
And what a tour de force it is.I may have planted the seed but you took it to a really high level.Easily the best diy DAC build I have seen.

I'd suggest someone try to find one to top it. Hell, for that matter, I can't say I've seen too many machined ones built that well.

One may be out there, but I'm not wasting my time sifting the internet to find it. Rich went full global getting knowledge & parts. (Including Canada, eh Fred?) It's a monster of a DAC, both for the ears and the eyes.
