Maybe and depends on what type of outputs your radio has.

Sorry I should have probably clarified a little more in my first note. It would help to know what type of radio you have and also what type of connection the "Audio out" is (RCA, 3.5mm, digital, ect....)

Sorry I have been wasting your time, just checked and the radio does not have "audio out" all it has is the normal wire connection to the speakers :-(, so the answer to my question is no

What are you calling a "radio"? If it's a tuner on an AVR that can easily be connected to your SB.

no it is a JVC mini stereo system (a cheap system) shall look at upgrading the radio soon. Thanks for the help

Yep with the usual wires stuck into the connection points on the back
