Speaker upgrade!!

Just recently upgraded my small home theater system-added a 55" SONY XBR55X850B UHD TV, and upgraded my DENON AVR-591 to a DENON AVR-X2100W. My current 5.1 system is all POLK- TSi 300's (front), CS10 (center), OWM 5's (rear), and a PSW110 sub. I alos have the OWM 3's that I may use for a front heighth channel. I have read that POLK 'timbre matches' their speakers within a particular series to sound best when matched together, but I'd like to upgrade my TSi 300's to possibly the TSx 440t's (wished I would've gotten the TSi 400's or even 500's!) Would there even be an noticeable difference when mixing series like that? Any other suggestions out there? I'd like a little more base from the front towers since I almost never use my sub (small house!) Is the TSx series sonically better than the TSi series? Can I still get a virgin, UNOPENED pair of TSi 400's or 500's anymore!? Thanks everyone.

Depends on what color your looking for if you need cherry ones then here you go.

    http://stores.ebay.com/Polk-Audio-Direct/Towers-Floorstanding-/_i.html?_nkw=TSI+500&submit=Search&_fsub=160111119&_sid=686154689

Not sure if the TSX 440s will match your CS10 but might be close. I have thar same Sony UHD set good choice. I also have a CS10 in storage nice sounding center. I think you should call Polk and ask if those 440s will match your CS10, unless those Cherry TSI 500s were the color you needed or perhaps Polks ebay store has the TSI 400s in the color you need.

Didn't know Polk had an Ebay store. I was looking for them in black. Found some Monitor 65T's and some RTi A7's on Amazon which would look nice in my man cave! Any idea how those would integrate into my system? Also, are the speakers on Ebay from Polk reconditioned? Are they directly from Polk? I will try to call them tomorrow. Side note: prior to purchasing my DENON AVR-X2100W, I had read several reviews stating that it would freeze up and you'd have to unplug it to be able to use it. Well, guess what!? I've had mine for 2 days, and it just did that!! NOT HAPPY!

    Hi Polkerfan,

I just recently upgraded from Monitor 60's (basically a TSI400) to RTI A5. Moving up the chain from monitor, TSI or TSX to the RTI line is a great upgrade. The RTI all have real wood veneer a better woofer and tweeter. I really didn't think I was going to hear as much of a difference as I do when I installed the RTI A5. They image better have more punch and just have a nicer sound then the monitors. Look at the eBay store and check out the rti8 same as the rti a5 different cabinet. I was fortune enough to get the A5 for the same price as the RTI 8 through the polk friends and family deal this past December.
As of the center channel you will probably need to upgrade to a csi a4 or csi 3 (same) or csi a6 or the csi4 (same) I have the csi a4 and it sounds great with the RTI a5. Good Luck
