    Absolutely stunning Trey!

I am always amazed at the size of the MR Clarity's. That 27uF cap is F-ing huge! :o

    Thanks guys!

    I appreciate the kind words!

The 400V MR is pretty big but the 620V is much larger. IE - the 12uf in the 620V is the same size as the 27UF in the 400V. They are pure monsters! :p

I figured while I was posting pictures - it would be neat to see all the iterations of this build from the past...

Amazing pictures and build quality Trey!

I think I asked this before, but why are the customers not using teh Duelund Cast resistors for the "all out build"? If you are gonna spend that kind of money on the MR Clarity's, why not spend slightly more on the Cast resistors?

    Thanks man!

The best answer I can give you is that each build is a transition to the next. The first time I built this, the concept did not even exist - what can you even fit on this thing, what can we do with it. The first build was a "cost no object" build but it only came to $3,500 or so. To be honest that build started as a GIMPOD modification and then as we waited on the inductors, the shelf concept was born and the entire build was changed after the plans were made.

From there after people saw the first build it was a matter of, I am willing to spend X, what can we do with X. So then you start to see more and more happening.

The latest build, the SDA SRS went way over the top in the design and installation phase of the build. Each crossover took over 6.5 hours to install in the speaker with the suspended build. But I absolutely love how they came out.

So to answer your question, I do not have a great answer, this is kind of like the "custom shop" of speakers. The only limitation is what we can imagine at the beginning. So on the next one I will throw it out and see what happens. I have a set of 1.2TL from Australia here that is in the pipeline after this current build and we are still in the consultation phase.

    Looks awesome as always Trey!!

The time it takes to just do the wiring alone is incredible let alone the crossovers.

Trey, I'm just getting to the internal wiring now with the stuff I purchased from you over a year ago, just got away from the hobby for awhile I guess.

I really thought doing the wiring harnesses wouldn't take that long, boy was I wrong..

For those of you that have had Trey do the work, it was money well spent. It's fun to do it yourself, if you have the time...

    Again, they look fantastic Trey!!!

    Thanks Larry! :)

The internal wiring for me is easiest by laying everything out on the floor as it is in the speaker. Precut all of the lengths, then zip tie it all together then terminate but it does take a good 3-4-5 hours to do all of the internal wiring which is alot more than people would think.

Even making a cable, putting the tech flex on, terminating the ends, it takes longer than you would think... :pensive:

The set up you made looks great, everything looks spectacular.

I wish I had access to a CNC machine - I have contemplated investing in a 3D printer to print out my substrates with all of the holes predrilled and everything but I cant make up my mind..

Thanks again - by the way someone emailed me about your rings and I directed them to your email but they said they didnt hear a response?
