Mating x2 DSW550wi Pros to Blackstone TL350

I have a Sony STR-DN1040 7.2ch AVR which powers the Polkaudio Blackstone TL350 satellites. Subwoofer is DSW550wi Pro. Since my AVR has .2 I have added another 550wi. Here are some settings which may be of use to you good folk in your advice:
  • AVR Subwoofer level: 2dB
  • Crossover freq: 120Hz
  • Subwoofer vol: 20
  • Sub Autopower: On

I am not getting a noticeable change in bass. I also have a situation where my left side sub auto switches off when the right is on! Is there some tweaking which you good folks can advise for such a setup?

You may want to play around with the phase setting on your sub. IIRC when using duals on different sides of the room you want one at 0 the other at 180....

EndersShadow thank you for the insight. Your suggestion makes sense I didnt hesitate to try it out. I should think there is some difference.

Here is an observation: The left side sub seems to go on auto off sometimes whilst the right is on. I cant wrap my head around what could be causing this as the AVR has two LFE outs. Oddly in the DN1040 GUI there is only one SW setting. I would have thought there should be an option for two subs as is there a setting for other speakers.

This may be the problem. I'm not familiar with this receiver but I know I had to change the config on mine to let it know I was using a second sub.

Hi Monepolk! I am surprised, as my 7.2ch does not have a setting for .2 though it has all the various speaker configurations but only one subwoofer. Very strange indeed. Anyone with a DN1040 please help!,

The answer is probably in your manual. My guess though is they just used a internal splitter instead of making 2 discrete sub channels, hence the only one sub adjustment in the settings.

It seems there is a mere splitter. I was also probably testing using the wrong source (satellite channels with correct audio). Will test usinga bluray disc
