    might just be comparing them to polks, i.e. polk level quality sold by best buy, as opposed to them actually being made by polk. of course, i could be wrong. personally, i've never heard of them. dont think i would buy those for 1100.00 without a)hearing them or b) many people saying many many good things about them. even the reviews on audioreview showed lower prices being paid

    Sid, my best friend has these and they sound awsome, the build quality is also very good. He had a problem with one sub amp humming, when he called customer service he got a polkaudio rep
    and the new amp came from them. So polk had their little hand dipped in the pot somewhere. I have been working for him the past month and roll the tunes on them everytime I go down to work, I would like to have a pair myself. When best buy discountinued the line he bought them at a basement price of 300 bucks. Damn good deal I say. Btw those are 10 inch subs not 8's and the model # is rsf1000.
