Grandsons Computer Rig & New Set Of Cans

Well he is only 11 and has himself a little Computer Rig The Dell Laptop is one of the ones Coke&Vanilla sold here on the Flea Market the Powered JBL's I had lying around they sound pretty good. The story with the Headphones was they had to come from Walmart as we had a few gift certificates his choice of cans was to be no more than $175 he had the choice of Beats Solo 2 on ear Headphones, Marley on ear Headphones, and a pair of JVC Xtreme Xplosives, after listening to them all the beats being the most expensive and the worst sounding to his and my ears he liked the Marleys they were a tad to laid back but the best sounding of the 3 were the JVC and I agreed they had the bass that the beats had but not over whelming like the Beats, he could of had any of the 3 he chose the JVC which were $50 compared to the $179 beats.

The Laptop is full of AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Thin Lizzy, April Wine, Sublime, he has an I heart account and can use our XM account when Im not on it. I guess he is pretty happy its a start for him he is having a blast going through my CD collection and ripping tunes, another hobby he is taking an intrest in.

I also gave him my dog tags that were issued to me way back when, and he is wearing them proudly, plus gave him a couple of books about Bigfoot that I have had since I was his age, my wife asked him if he wanted some other types of music like Justin Beiber or some Brittney Spears he said yeah right, a chip of the old block I'm guessing in a couple of years I will get some Zappa on there for him!

I already told him he's not quite ready yet now he has shown an interest in the Deads Skull and RosesCD because of the cover

The little guy saw my Sennheisers hanging on a Brainwavz acrylic holder he had to have one so I got him this cheaper version. The little guy sure is hooked he put down his new cans carefully and can't wait for his new stand.

That's awesome Steve. glad he is getting hooked young. Really enjoy introducing the younger generation to good music on better than Beats gear!

Yeah thanks Ryan as long as he don't hit me up for a Dragonfly to plug in to the laptop were good, a little at a time he needs to learn especially when he don't have a job yet! But the bug has hit him pretty hard he's already asking about the gear that's in storage and what my plans are with all that stuff that's sitting idle.

Well he was at it bright and early this morning he had a big ol stack of my CDs ripping like a madman he finished all the Zepplin, Floyd, although I told him he probably wont like the early stuff, looks like all the Alice Cooper Stuff is next, asked him if he wanted to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for wings, and to watch the Vikings Bear game, he said no thanks, he never turns down Buffalo Wild Wings, this is turning into an obsession for him I doubt he will even step outside today.
