Omni P1 doesn't use AUX IN

I have a P1 box and an S2 speaker. The P1 is connected to my receiver with a 3.5mm AUX cable. I would like to send that AUX audio to the S2. "No can do" according to the 800 support guy I just talked to. That crazy technology is in a future firmware upgrade.
Does this make sense? It seems to jibe with the absence of a promised "Polk Audio Utility" app that promises to enable AUX input. "Polk Omni Utility App gives you extended functionality, including product firmware updates, source selection (if applicable) ":

I looked on the Android and Apple app stores but no luck.
I am hoping I got an uninformed tech guy on the phone because the Omni P1 is advertised as having that AUX port specifically to support stuff like this: "Hookups include an auxiliary input connection from a portable device":

TIA for any help.

Found the answer: I cannot do what I want to do.
First let me assure the smarter audiophiles out there that my neighbor, a Polk sound engineer, told me to take the speaker cable out of the AUX jack.
He then explained that the unit is designed only to send the sound coming in that jack out the speaker or out the cable to an old receiver-- it will not rebroadcast that signal to another wireless speaker.
So apparently the future upgrade will allow me to do what I want. Meanwhile I am enjoying the great sound from the small S2 speaker and streaming from my NAS and online.

Hi Martin.
I just purchased two S2s with the same desire / idea. Just curious, did you get a sense from Polk that a future firmware upgrade was going to address rebroadcasting the AUX audio to another Polk wireless speaker? I'm disappointed this still isn't possible.
Cheers,
Jess
