Kind Of Blue Shelf

These pics aren't the greatest from the old iPad.
I needed some light in the built-in shelf where I keep my gear. I found this sweet little LED light set. It can change colors or stay at whatever I set. I can turn it to bright white if I'm messing with my system, when in the past I was messing around with flashlights.
I'll probably keep it blue to match the LEDs of my gear. Hope the pics look ok...enjoy.

Very cool, any chance of you posting a link to where you got them? So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I got them at IKEA. It was $30 for four 7-inch LED strips.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A -

Oh man that's kewl! Like these? I've been looking for some lighting for my rack. These look like they would work great!

I found a nice battery LED spot for the Lenco. It's actually a grill light, has clamp to grip shelf.

Rich, those are the ones. And it looks like its only $10 shipping which isn't bad for an IKEA product.
I will say the connections are a little sketch. I had to wiggle one to get it to light up. Another time one of the four got out of sink with each other, but I just unplugged that one and plugged it back in and it worked fine.

Got an Ikea close by the house Dan.
A late afternoon shot. These are cell phone pics/video so not the best quality. Light strips attached to bottom side of shelves with supplied double sided tape strips. They also have metal brackets with screws option.
Evening. I suppose one could tape over some LED's to dim the light if desired.
Video be added in another post if this link doesn't work.

Rich, I like the red also....depends on the mood
@codyc1ark That link from Amazon looks pretty slick also. LED's must have come a long way pretty quick. I swear I was looking into this last year and the cheapest starter kits I could find were over $100. Cody, is there a way to section those LED's off so you can do a row per shelf like the Ikea kit, or is it basically only setup for one continuous line?
May get this to outline my LCD TV to back-light it a bit to help with depth perception at night when the lights are turned down/off.

C'mon Dan, read the product description. I just wasted like three seconds of my life...
Led Light Can be cut to every 3 leds, self-adhesive tape backing can be fit many dry flat surface
I would say yes?
Edit: On second thought, IDK. I'm sure there is a way to split it up. This might be it... http://www.amazon.com/Ledwholesalers-Splitter-Color-Changing-Strips/dp/B0077IPRAG/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_text_y -

I don't see a multiple strip option. If you could it would be a nice kit!

I am definitely curious about getting a set of these, they look amazing. Plus I think I got preliminary approval from the MRS Dept... lol
Sal, thanks for the heads-up. I have a Costco about 3 minutes from my house now, certainly 100x closer than the nearest Ikea I think? So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Sorry, I missed this. I'm guessing it would...only thing I wonder about is once you use the two ends of strip light with plugs, how to add connections to rest of strip?
