I would like to post some comments about stuff but don't necessarily want people then to know where I live by searching on my email addy. Thoughts??

Create new e-mail account on Yahoo or Hotmail with amusing, but not obviously phony info. Back when they asked for a phone number I used to keep a notebook with numbers I got off of airport pay phones. I have forgotten most of the really hilarious ones. They were so incredibly ridiculous nothing was ever sent to them.

And for the truly paranoid don't forget to use an anonymizer to hide your IP address too.

And then switch to using Tor Browser...

Your email addy is already out there. If someone wants to find out where you live, it isn't that hard. You plan on pissin' a few people off or what ?HT SYSTEM-

These days, there's just too many knuckleheads out there. If you want to remain unfindable, stay off the internet.
Case in point: I sent a random stranger a PM on Audiogon a couple weeks back. Audiogon then shared that person's physical address with me. WAT? I can get any audiogon member's address just by sending them an unsolicited PM?
P.S. I notified Audiogon of the problem. Wonder if they've fixed it yet.--

I quit doing any__ correspondence with Audiogon years ago. Seems their site changed and people started having various problems there. May be nothing to it, but I just avoid them.

Yeah, was going to post some things on Facebook and such about lack of enforcement of traffic laws and sometimes what seems to be a "holier then thou" type of attitude from law enforcement. With me living within blocks of a number of police officers I don't want, you know, some repercussions happening.Computer room Hegeman 1 SpeakersM&K VX-80 subKenwood DP-7010Cambridge Audio CXC Transport Rega DACPrimaLuna Prologue Four AmpAric Audio Tube PreampGarage Jennings Research SquareCustom tube preampCrown XLS-1000Denon DCD-1500II Modded MSB Link DAC

So....your afraid of the very people you pay to protect you. Telling....very telling in the change of minds today.
Why post sh&t on facebook anyway ? Go down to the station and file a complaint so you have a record. Communicate directly....not by way of facebook. That will go further with them than seeing junk on the internet.
