    R.I.P. Joe. Back in his day, he was one of the most soulful white singers anywhere. Check out the movie Joe Cocker Mad Dogs and Englishmen, he rips it up along with many other fantastic greats.

    Joe Cocker was one of my favorite artists. He passed away from Lung Cancer at an early age. RIP Joe

    I was always a fan.

    The most amusing memory was when John Belushi took the stage with Cocker singing on SNL and started to sing with him, sounding, looking, moving, and dressed pretty much like Joe. Joe was undeterred and continued with his song. The rest of us were on the ground. Great music, great comedy. Now they're both gone!

    Too many people dropping far too early this year. 70 is the new 55. Most should make it to 85 or more these days if there are no complications. But yeah, smoking...took George Harrison as well-a while back.

    At Polki2009. Loved the movie. Have the CD set! A memorable series of performances.

    At Tony, are you SURE you are a member of MY generation? lol
