Any experience with the Fosgate Phono preamp?

Looking at grabbing one of these and wondering if the gurus have any feedback on them.

Why would anyone (Warren) disagree with my asking the question?

I remember when this model came out and was surprised to see it from that company as Fosgate's company was going out of business or being absorbed by a bigger company. Never did experience one unfortunately. If I remember correctly, the designer made it because he wanted to develop it for his own purposes and it got positive reviews. Looks like there is now a version 2 out with some connection to the company Musical Surroundings, which itself makes some nice analog gear. Music Direct has the version 2 on sale for a knock down price. Looks nice still.

I read good things about the Fosgates & the one by Herron, I see Acoustic sounds doesn't carry it anymore. they were always out of my budget. You could go to Acoustic Sounds and email them tell them your looking at phono amps and what its for and see what they say. I email them several times about their opinions.
