Polk LSIM 707s - Which Amp?

I am awaiting delivery on the LSIM 707s
Trying to decide on the Amp. Currently looking at the Emotiva XPA-2 and XPA-3
50/50 Split on the Music/HT

Any suggestions to drive these 707s would be much appreciated

If you're not dead set or stuck on Emotiva, you might look into getting a Parasound amp or something better.

Can you recommend something in the same price range $400-$800

    Thanks

  • What are your thoughts on the Parasound 2250?
I know the price is twice my budget but curious.
    Thanks

That would be a great amp. Parasound makes outstanding amps.

  • Ditto on parasound.

I love the old HCA 2200a that I have. Drives my lsi9s beautifully. Much better than the NAD I have or even my smaller parasound which is 125w/ch.

Get a powerful amp, you won't regret it, it'll make the speaker sound like it should.

Driving three sets of 707s with a Parasound Halo A51 and A21, and the sound is excellent. I've owned the Emotivas before - do yourself a favor and get the Parasound, even if you buy used.

Always nice to hear the perspective of someone who has actually owned the items in question.

I have toyed with the idea of an Emotiva for sometime and may snag one just for the heck of it , but it looks like the ultimate goal will be a Parasound.

I've been using my 707s with a Class D Audio SDS-470 (Class D Audio is the name of the company) 4 channel amplifier with tremendous results. I power the bottom half with 2 channels and the upper with the other 2 channels. It is 300wpc into 8 ohms and 600 into 4 ohms and is very stable. The amp new is only $1275 and finally ended my amplifier search for these speakers. Highly recommended. I have no affiliation with Class D Audio or any manufacturer. Just passing on my experience. Happy hunting and Merry Christmas to all.
