Pondering letting #2 Rotel move along to the next owner. 60wpc, 'Dual Mono' design (though it ran fine on SDA's). Heavy SOB, grossly over-built, and sounds absolutley WONDERFUL.

Would anyone here be interested?

Cheers,
Russ

I might be, provided I can still pay tuition and rent afterwards.

I'd probably be looking for $200 shipped or so. Another forum member already bought the other one, so here we are.

I just got a STACK of new Audiosource AMP100's in for the whole house rig, so simply time to make room to try something new.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Provided I am not cutting in line I would love to take it off your hands. If you have a deal pending I'll step back to the wait list, other wise I'll send you some money on paypal. How much do you figure for shipping??? Do you have a stereo shop in your house or what?! I wish I lived down the road from you, thats for sure. Let me know, thanks!

    Tour,

Both, new in the box and new to me. I've owned various Audiosource before, but these are supposed to be a new high-performance line for 2004. Another tidbit, under the Audiosource logo on the front of each, it has the PG logo, and 'A Phoenix Gold International Company'.

I don't know if that's new or old news.

    Matt,

You are second in the batting order, I let you know if **** doesn't knock it out of the park.

    Hi Russ,

What do you think of the Amp100? I just picked one up myself and am using it bridged to run the center. Did you notice that the A/B switch is A or B, not both? That surprised me, as all of the my other Audiosource Amps (I have an amp one and an amp two - sold my amp three a few months ago) will run both simultaneously.

Just curious, did you get yours from hififorless?

    Sorry for the hijack.

I haven't even plugged them in yet, I plan on doing it later today.

That's interesting on the A/B, I thought the manual said they could work in conjunction. I'll see what mine do, and yes, I got them from the same place - I bought one for each zone in the house - on the two main zones I might get a couple more to bridge.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Yeah, I like mine, and the price was right. According to the manual output is 160w bridged at 8ohms. What is that, like 75 cents a watt?

If I hadn't just gotten the Soundcraftsmen 840 from steveinaz I would have bought 5 of them to run the whole theater. I was afraid that at 160w this wouldn't be able to keep up the Soundcraftsmen but I actually had to cut the center volume a bit. Pretty impressive.

Guys, I hate to say it, but I got an offer today I just can't refuse.

I'm going to swap the Rotel with my local scrounger for my first Single-Ended Tube preamp. Golden Tube Audio SEP-1.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Woody, how is the Audiosource 100 in comparision to the Amp3?
By the way, thanks for the speedy delivery of the AR speakers.

    Hey there,

Hope you are enjoying the ARs. I actually just picked up a pair of their big brothers, the AR2062ps. Nice speaker, about the size of an rt35i.

The amp100 is nice, although lower powered. It is just 50w/ch and will not run two pair of speakers a+b, only a or b. And it does not have the groovy round vu meters, which I love about the ampone two and three. But it works just right for how I need it...bridged...to run my center.

I haven't got a chance to mount the AR speakers as surround yet. Thanks for the info on the Amp100. Congrats on another great find.

Swing and a miss. Oh well. I probably should hold onto my money anyways.
