Finally took the 505 back to frys for a refund, I was going to recieve a credit back for $540 on my credit card, but they figured out that there was the $200 discount because of the promotion, so they would only credit me back $320, I said screw that I was going to find a way to recieve $540 back:D So what I did was I took the 505 back to another Frys WITHOUT my receipt(well in my pocket atleast) they gave me a store credit of $540:D So I guess I am happy with that. Now I am subless for the moment, time to save my pennies for a SVS, I am looking at the 25-31 pc+.

That wasn't a very nice thing to do. The deals I seen people getting on the Polks earlier this year from Fry's were pretty dam good. Then to have someone pull a fast one on a co. that seems to go to great lengths to keep prices down (compaired to CC), I would love to have a Fry's in my area, only makes it that much harder to continue to stay in business. That was a little to sneeky and dishonest for me. Besides the 505 is supose to be a pretty good sub especally for the price and for most people would do them a good job until they could afford and felt a need for a better one. Chances are you didn't own the 505 long enough to give it a true test to see if you liked it or not. Then to come on here and bost about what you did is just plain wrong. Hope your happy with yourself cause crap like that just pisses me off. that was not the same as the store misquoting a price you just plain stole from them..... ****!!!!

Hmm, I guess I shouldn't tell you how I got the 80 gigs of media on my computer, or damn I love those self check outs at Walmart:D

Thief!
Maybe you need to hang out elsewhere. -
I'm with Dave on this one. Sure everybody likes to save some money but stealing is just wrong. These retail store are already giving most of us good if not great deals and here you come along and and burn em' for $200 or so dollars. Them you open your mouth futhermore. Low man, that is LOW.Main System:

I'm embarrassed he's from Texas.
Anyway the moderators could send his IP to the authorities or to Frye's? -
Hope you'll excuse the expression, but it DOES seem appropriate ... There's so much &#@% in Texas, you're bound to step in some ...

Nothing wrong with bitching ... You just gotta make sure it's pointed in the right direction.

that is pretty low.. the schemes some people come up with just amazes me to no end.. if someone is this dishonest on a sub and HD, i'm sure he's this dishonest in other aspects of his life as well.

I ditto that, JerkoffAccorn is not going to get any replys from me!!! We'll have to watch for him in the flea market. The other thing that gets me is the $200 or free sub is Polks doing not the store and that the deal is Polks way of thanking you (us) for purchasing their products. Some may feel the sub is not worth it others feel that it is better then nothing and at least they have a sub for the thump of it and they get a taste of things to come and their HT fever gets flowing. I had the free sub and feel that for a freebe it was worth it and I sure don't see anyother Co. doing that for you. So now we have a person who comes on here and bosts about what they did and doesn't have the common sence to figure that they also stole from Polk as well and to come on the Polk forum to boast is even more stupid.

Although this may be a good option for some, I asked the sales guy for $200 credit toward my RTi70's, CSi40 and FXi30 package, and he said fine. Ended up putting that cash toward the CSi30, and then saved up for a REAL sub.Mains: polkaudio RTi70's (bi-wired)

Damn, don't know where to start, I really didn't want things to get out of line, I never thought things would end up like this, but I guess what is done is done. I know i've pissed some people off, but I never planned to, some polker's even want me gone, well I guess I can do that.
Well, I guess I will say, Bye, thanks for everyone who has helped me overcome some problems I had and for your advice. I will reply once more in about a month or two, for my thoughts of the SVS 25-31+, and for pics of my final setup.

Don't bother, you've shown the type of person you are. You're not welcome here anymore.

You MIGHT be able to ween your way back in, but I wouldn't count on it. You essentialy stole from every member (and civilian) that has ever bought a new or used Polk speaker from the time CC started carrying them. It might be pennies on the dollar, but it's a big slap in the face.
To you, it may have seemed like an innocent opportunity to make some money from a large corporation that would never miss it, to us, it's quite different. Polk Audio has made an appreciated effort to provide a quality speaker at a reasonable price. In order to do this, they went with mass profile and consumption. This has in turn come around to bite them in the **** in certain aspects. They lost alot of their prestige in doing so. They countered with a joint agreement to uphold an "upgrade" plan with their major supplier. CC gets the sale and a portion / Polk gets a sale, stronger customer base, a better reputation, and the ability to market mid-fi speakers to somebody that may or may not ever upgrade. Some manufactures spend much more on advertising, some raise their price disproportionatily, where-as Polk offers an honest deal. You have removed this honesty.Make it Funky! -
It's very comforting to know that I'm amongst such an esteemed collection of Saints. It would kill me to find out that any of the condemners had ever stooped low enough to download a song illegally or smoke a joint.
I'm not saying that what he was appropriate, but I'm surprised to see so many goodie-goodies walking up to the teacher's desk to deposit the apple.

I had a similar thing happen, long ago, when CC gave me 2 pair of R1 speakers - yet I only paid for 1 pair.
I returned the 1 pair I paid for, and kept the extra pair they 'gave' me.
Needless to say, those days are long gone by, and while I simply profited from *their* mistake, instead of instigating said 'scam' myself - I wouldn't do it today. Kharma is REAL, and I'm all about the 'good' variety.
Hopefully Jr can chaulk this one up to being young, greedy, and not thinking it through. The only real problem I see is if the behavior continues, and he fails to recognize the priciples behind what he did.
Cheers,
