HELP, receiver good for lsi system...

I have lsi9 & psw650...2 ch.(Onkyo Intrega).....need a good receiver $800-1k 6.1ch. up...call Onkyo & HK & the tech. not recomend any of their system for 4ohms. Polk Audio Lsi.....
Possible I may start w/ new system RTI...if it cost to much.
Please...help...thanks

If you have a receiver currently that has preouts for a seperate amp all you need is an amp that can handle a 4ohm load. I'm using an 0utlaw 7100 with my Lsi's and it performs beautifully.

I tried many many receivers in my search, I ended up with the Yamaha RX-V2400. I can't say enough good things about it. It can be had from a dealer for about a grand. If you want to save a little, get the RX-V1400. It has many of the same features, and a smidgen less power.

I would keep your LSi 2 channel system and go with another RTi system for the HT. On your budget you can't afford anything good enough to drive the LSi's, and IMO RTi's do a great job for HT.
on another note, many people will suggest that an onkyo receiver will not have the power to drive the RTi150's to your satisfaction, so perhaps you will want to check out the RTi70's.
