i know it's a little dated but I can pick it up pretty cheap. I was looking to replace an older JVC DVD player in a camper and I thought this would do the trick. Turns out it also plays sacd. I have no experience in this area and was wondering if I should replace the Panasonic DMP-65 in my main system and move the Panasonic to the camper. What do you think?

I picked up a used 770 on ebay for use with my rear projection tv (no hdmi) + amazon prime download. I've had it for about 6 months and it works great. Picture and sound quality is very good. This is the higher model but I believe they were introduced around the same year and probably have alot of the same components.

Good point, but it won't be my main CD player. Fortunately or unfortunately for me I haven't really heard a good or bad CD player. All the ones I’ve had sound pretty much the same, although I’ve never done any A/B comparisons. My current player in my 2-channel setup is an Integra CDC-3.4.

I’m picking it up today and I’m trying to figure out the best way to use it. So I guess your impression is it’s a decent bpd but a bad sacd player. That’s what I was figuring but I don’t even own a sacd that I can listen to.

Is rather have a good CD player than a mediocre to bad sacd player. I had a Sony es player that was essentially the 790 and its sq was bad. Real bad. I still almost kept one though since I needed a decent bdp and that did everything I needed it to for movies. Pure music playback is not their strength though.

I'm glad Dskip commented. I didn't want to mislead you. I figured this was to replace your video DVD player for movies with Blu-ray. I use mine only for movies. Music, for me, is all flac streaming. My CD player is in storage.

the BDP-S570 is a very good BD player. I have the 480 and 580 in my house and like them both for movies. For music I still use my 3100ES DVD/CD/SACD player which is awesome.

When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
