    i haven't heard anything to that effect.

    I do know here. we have two CC and two BB. Best Buy is cleaning their clocks in sales at both stores. I can't imagine the CC's here can last much longer without customers/sales.

    I bought my HDTV at BB last month, not CC. because of a better deal. I got $50 back with their rewards program.. which i turned around and bought a hard drive for the computer that was already on sale. With the $50 in rewards certificates. i got a 120gig HD for $29 not bad huh?

    The HD was on sale.. and it also had $60 in refunds to go along with it. that's how i was able to get the final price down so low.

    Interesting...

    Also, the accomodations* for Infinity alpha and kappa series are now gone. We (cc employees) can only order the crappy Infinity's, ie primus series. (Is CC going HTIB all the way? :( )

    If they take all the Polk RTi's away, I will quit working at CC. Polks are the only speakers I enjoy selling at CC, and the only speakers that I can honestly say to customers that they sound great. Although, I can understand why Polk would pull them, because the average CC customer is not looking to spend $1100 for 3 front speakers (2 rti8's and 1 csi5), epecially when they see the Onkyo 6.1 HTIB package that has a receiver, 6 speakers and a sub for $499.

    I also second HBomb's idea, it would be very cool to see the LSi series at Ultimate. Which brings up another issue. They put up an Ultimate Electronics across the street from CC. The layout of UE blows CC away. CC seems to have turned into the ghetto of big electronics retailers.

    Toby, have you been to the UE just east of 70/291? That store has me hooked and their listening room is AWESOME!

    Nope, just the one at 95th and Quivera. I love how they have, I think, 4 listening rooms.

    4 sounds right but 1 of them is Blow's only... so now there is three;)

    Damn right! lol One of my favorite things to do at CC is to "enlighten" people by putting a Bose dual cube for the left speaker, and a Polk Rti6 for the right, then play some Aerosmith. All of a sudden, all those $'s spent on Bose marketing fly out the demo rooom. Best part is, they made the decision on their own, with their own ears.

    Speaking of UE...They used to sell Polk many moons ago. Matter of fact, that is where I bought my S10's and 4's back in 93.

    Rumor has it...(take it for what it's worth) Polk and UE had a falling out. What that was exactly is anyones guess.

    I do agree...I wish they would get back with UE again real soon!

    Not on Fridays! Fridays are reserved for beer! I will however be at Rusty's Last Chance (just west of I-35 and 75th) at around 4:30ish.
