So, the large low-pass cap blew on my CS1000P center. I guess given the age its time to just replace all the caps. I plan to do this speaker first then the others in due time. I plan to use all film, poly caps and might use a Clarity for the tweeter? The others will be cheaper Solen, Dayton caps or something along those lines. There are many options regarding the smaller values.
However, the one that blew that started me down this path is the hardest one to find, the 480uF. Was considering using the 500uF but not many of those around either. Want to find a SINGLE vs. multiple component that I can get to fit without too much trouble or redoing the PCB.
12.0uF
16.0uF
54.0uF
480uF
Looks like some may have done this before but not much feedback if any at all about what was done regarding the 480uF?
