No problems here. I had one issue, but it was quickly resolved and I was fully re-imbursed.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    just a tip:

If you stick with a basic account and don't get a premier or business account I dont think they charge you fees. Sure you can't accept CC payments, but 3% is a lot for expensive items

Way back a few years ago, I used paypal once to pay with a credit card. Well, I bought somehting else later and tried to use my CC again. No Good. paypal said I didn't have enough credit remaining. The damn CC has a HUGE limit! Then they they want my checking account info. **** that. If I have valid CC that has enough credit on it and I pay it off, then they don't need anything else from me. I have NOT used them since and never will!

On top of that, paypal is pretty anti-freedom anyway, like eBay can be.

I bought an item (Pioneer DVD player) that did not work as the seller had indicated. The seller refused to return my money stating it worked when he shipped it. I had bought the insurance paypal sold for like 12.00 for a money back guarantee on the player.

I filed a claim for the 200.00 some bucks I had paid for the player under the money back gaurantee. There were a bunch of rules and timelines you had to follow, one slip and they could and would deny your claim, I had to send the player to them and all they would give is a PO Box number of course this is a nightmare with UPS. I made no slip ups. They took two months to "investigate" my claim.

In the mean time I got sick of waiting for them to send me back my money so I filed a dispute with my CC company. Paypal was nonresponsive to them so after 30 days my credit card company credited my account the full amount of the purchase. At this point I am a happy camper since I do not have to pay for a broken player.

Paypal then charges the seller on his account the amount of the chargeback like 212.00. The seller does not have that much in his paypal account so they freeze him from any further transactions until he pays, they never tell him that they have the player.

He writes me a nasty gram e-mail full of threats which are pretty much just idle ranting cuz he is pissed. I tell the guy that I had told him I would file a claim under the garauntee program and to contact paypal not me.

Maybe things have changed but I prefer not to use them.

I am a big time paypal-er. I have spent thousands upon thousands through paypal. I use it professionally and it has always been good to me. The only glitch I had was when I first opened the account and spent a lot off a credit card, the credit card company denied the charge until I called and confirmed it. They were just protecting me, I understand and appreciate that. They did they same thing once when my wife was Christmas shopping. They said it didn't fit our normal spending profile so they wanted to talk to me and make sure the card had not been stolen.

I bought a race car from a guy in Colorado through paypal once. Smooth as silk. Took 3 days for the money to get to him. By then I was ready to pick up the car (had to buy a trailer).

I have never thought twice about recommending paypal to anybody. Always remember, somebody has a horror story about everything.
    Go BIG or go home!
