VSX44 vs. VSX80 vs. VSX1124

So I bought a VSX44 for our upstairs family room. Good sale price at BB. I have my original Mirage Omnisat speakers (these will be upgraded eventually) and sub for that system. I had an old Denon receiver that I gave to my daughter for her recent interest in two channel/vinyl. I just needed something basic for this system, but starting to second guess my choice....
I plan on setting up a media PC in the near future, mainly for music (flac) and maybe ripping some movies too.
* Should I be concerned about the DAC quality in the receiver?
* Amp section in the VSX44 too weak for speaker upgrades down the road? Want to avoid separate amp in this rig.
* What is difference in VSX-80 (Elite) amp section vs. VSX-1194(non-Elite)?
* Any other recommendations/suggestions?
