Opinions on a used Panasonic viera plasma

I know someone that is selling a Panasonic plasma TV. The model is th-50pz80u. He says it was lightly used. He is selling it for $325. Does anyone have any experience with this TV and I was wondering if this is a decent deal. From what I can tell it looks like it was made in 2008. Any advise would be appreciated.
Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,

    I have the TH-50PZ700U which is an older model than TH-50PZ80U and is more inline from a spec standpoint with the TH-50PZ800U. Will admit right away I prefer plasma over LCD so would recommend going and checking it out to make sure it is working correctly and there is no strong humming coming from the set. Of course keeping in mind that it appears everyone is exiting the plasma business. I would also try to negotiate down on the price a little but keep in mind a new samsung 51" PN51F8500 is about $1000 if you can find one.

    I have the 58" version in my listening room and have been pleased. Check for ghosted burn-in when you audition in the dark areas - it's a great set IMHO for the money anyway. (Heavy bugger tho)
