Really not sure what to ask for these. Thinking $250+ shipping on the Sansui quad. It's around 50lbs. And $150 shipped on the Phase Linear preamp.

Prices are negotiable. Both are in working order. Can provide pics at request. Trades are welcome as well. Other preamps. Especially tube preamps. Kit/DIY builds are fine. Also Onkyo Integra preamps.

I'll consider reasonable offers. I really need to move one or both of these. I got a line on a tube preamp so I need funds badly.

If what I am asking is to high please let me know.

Come on now....I got SDA mods to pay for damnit! lol

I will come off the prices considerably to move these. And if you live in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi or Arkansas. I can even deliver. As long as you're somewhat close to I-20 and Hwy. 82 that is! :D

Unknown of anything ever being done to it service wise. Volume pot needs some deoxit. The wood case has a few marks on it. Could use some Howard's. If I keep it I will probably refinish the cabinet. It's by no means mint. Hence I am pretty flexible on price.

After spending several hours today with the Sansui. I've decided to keep it. The damn thing sounds pretty awesome. And I kinda like the 'quad' effect so far. It's grown on me I think. So not for sale no mo'. B)

Back in their day, (around 1972 ,'73 or so) these big quad Sansuis ruled in the receiver category. The fact that yours still____ works and sounds good to this day is a testimony to the high level of integrity built into them. I don't know what year yours was built in Halo71, but even if it's 35 years old ,that speaks volumes. Heck, I don't know if any of the AVR s built today will still be working in 35 years...

Not real sure. I've read this model came out in '73. But other 'sources' online say this model was built from '72 to '78. Which I do not think the latter is true. But then again I have never owned any Sansui gear. I plan to pop the top on this one and do some cleaning next week.

I understand I have a 4500 and wouldn't part with it or any of my other Sansui pieces.

wish I kept that AU-20000 and the TU-9900 I had... they saved my house from foreclosure, so I guess that was a good trade.

The owner of the company I work for says he has some old McIntosh speakers and a Sansui AU9090. That he has packed away in his garage. I hope in the New Year to get a chance to go see them.
