where is this guitar ? Woodstock the Movie

I've seen the movie Woodstock about 100 x and keep scratching my head around this question. At the end of The Who's set Pete Townsend unstraps and proceeds to pound his Gibson SG on the stage, goes for some feed back then pounds it on the stage a few more times. Mind you he never breaks it like some other shows then dramatically it seems to toss it into the audience. Now not being there but knowing the set-up there was a wide and stage long press and security pit. The skeptic in me says it went right into the hands of his crew. I always wondered about that lucky son of a **** who got that ax and was lost to history. Well, w/ some digging my friends at the Dead Dozin site say it was in some liner notes that indeed the guitar went right into the hands of his crew to be used for another show. All schictk.
Just turning 62 I tried to list the concerts I've seen and heard in my life time. Some might be impressed, some might not even have heard of some of the bands. In any case if your interested here's the link to the Dozin site

Probably the same SG he used at The Isle Of Wight festival......... They tried to replicate the Woodstock performance almost identically. Townsend even wore the same white jumpsuit.
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

That's the only bad rap on the original Who. When I saw them, 1st the Grateful Dead opened w/ the entire Wall of Sound and then The Who closed and headlined. They I must say played rings around The Dead this day and did what amounted to a chronological greatest hits package that included about a 1/2hr of Tommy and then they were so good Bill Graham made them come out and do an encore of Johnny B.Good w/ Kieth singing. This was a Saturday show. The next day I heard the Dead were much better and The Who played the exact same show note for note.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

That's an impressive list of bands you've seen. I would like to do that, I've saved ticket stubs since the 90's at some point, and the Marley stub from 1978, but most of the early ones would have to be from memory (LOL). I saw the Who later on after Keith died but still awesome. I should have added the Who and especially Townsend to the Clapton Is God post a few days ago, I was remiss in not mentioning that Townsend was also a total professional. Passed on seeing both Led Zeppelin and Yes in 1975. WTF was I thinking? (But in my defense I keep telling myself I would've had to travel five hours each way with a bunch of *#$& and I could see the penitentiary in the tea leaves....) Of course, they had a great time. Fer cri yi!

Funny you say Pete was a total professional. When they 1st came out on stage John was leaning against his bank of Sunn bass amps just looking at the other 3 idiots doing somersaults ,knocking into one another and it appeared that Keith was walking on his drum kit. I thought oh boy this is going to be one sloppy show. Man was I wrong once Pete put on a Les Paul w/ a giant #5 on it and they launched into Heaven and Hell I knew they were consumate players. I was never into ticket stubs or autographs but gear interested way more.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

Yeah, I was never into ticket stubs either except I knew the Marley show would be special and he was sick by then so I kept that, but later on I just started putting them in a drawer and now I have a ton of them. One of these days I'll lay them out and photograph some. Lol.
