Bela Fleck fans?

Anyone ever listen to Bela Fleck and the Flecktones? I've always liked their music, I own a few of their CDs, but I just picked up "UFO Tofu" and the CD is amazing, top to bottom. The recording is well done, with wide dynamics and a sense of each instrument occupying its own space. The disc shows off just how superb the musicians of the band are. Not to mention Fleck's virtuoso banjo work. Check it out if you have a chance. Sounds fantastic on the Electromotions.

This is a great CD that displays Fleck's virtuoso talent on the banjo. It's one of my favorites.

Thanks for the info, I have not heard any of their music and will check it out! That is another great thing I like about the forum, its not just about equipment but the music we listen to... I don't listen to the radio and miss some new music or just never heard of them. so this gives me ideas and music to add to my listening pleasure....in the end the reason were mostly here is that we love Music :)

I'm a Bela' & the Flecktones fan (Big Victor Wooten fan). Seen them last a few years ago back in Ann Arbor, MI at the State Theater. I will have to get the UFO disc....I like a few cuts off that discs. While their sound can be all over the place, here are some of my fav cuts from them over the years:

    "Throwdown at Hoedown"
(If your system has great midbass this track has a nice warm kick! ) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PIZOAW/ref=dm_mu_dp_trk1

    "Sojourn Of Arjuna"
(Again I love the low bass and slow groove of this track. On the right system the intro gives me chills. Then by then end my head is bobbing front to back to the groove!)

Here they are jamin' with Dave Matthews live and they break out into a completely different rendetion of Arjuna at about 8:00 min in. Awesome!

    "Bumbershoot"
    (Fusion baby!)

    "Blu Bop"
    (A little fusion bob swing!)
