Green Tree (GT) Mortgage Servicing . . . Do Not Deal With This Company

The good news, is that tomorrow I'm closing on the refi of my existing home at a somewhat favorable rate

I cannot wait to get away from Green Trees' (GT) ineptitude

The last 3 monthly checks I wrote were cashed and not properly credited to my account . . .

Over the last several months, I have spoken to well over 20 GT reps/mortgage CSRs. A few of them seem genuinely concerned, but most have No Clue and transfer me to someone who "escalates the issue" with Zero resolution. I have been in contact with 4 "supervisors" where no resolution/solution could be found

Green Tree has not paid my Summer Taxes that were due months ago

Green Tree has not paid my Home Owners Insurance that were due months ago

As you can see I'm over it . . . TY for listening .. . Let 2015 be a great year!!!

GT definitely sucks. As a Realtor I can tell you it's pretty common with loan servicers these days. Congrats on the refi!

hopefully your loan won't be given back to Green Tree for Servicing,. unfortunately Borrowers can't control that.

My loan was sold to Green Tree about a year ago. They are the worst f-ups in the history of the mortgage industry. If it weren't for the fact that they have had to refund 3 out of 15 mortgage payments so that I would agree not to take action against them, I would of refi'd already. And I learned a couple of weeks ago that there is a brewing class action suit against my mortgage originator for selling mortgages to Green Tree.

The HELOC on my rental house was sold to Green Tree about a year ago. Haven't had any issues with payments not posting, but in general, their customer service sucks. They are downright rude sometimes.

Some are rude and are unknowledgeable and some just transfer you to someone else.
Many times I get disconnected. But once I somehow got connected to another GT client/Victim who was on-hold trying to correct an error???

To be fair, I did run into one or two who did "seem to care" but still never a follow-up or resolution . . .

Thank God I'm done with them. Unless of course they dont refund they $3200 in my escrow account . . . Mother Truckers!

It was Flagstar Bank in MI, who although they had fairly poor customer service, would at least get things resolved eventually. I got a letter from an attorney wanting me to verify that my loan had been sold by Flagstar Bank to Green Tree.
