W4S ST1000mk2 input

Does anyone have experience with the Wyred 4 Sound ST1000mk2? It packs the 250ASX2 modules in BTL mode. I haven't been able to find too many reviews/comparisons with it. Has anyone compared it to a Parasound A21 or a higher-end class A/B amp? I'm a little concerned about it becoming 'obsolete' when the next generation of ICE modules come out.

I'm currently running a Rotel RMB1075.

W4S wont be going down the crapper any time soon. I suggest you take a listen though before buying.

How do amps become obsolete ?

Maybe obsolete is the wrong word, but outdated when the next generation comes. Seems like most folks recommend the 3rd gen ICE modules over the previous due to the improved HF response.

Outdated may still be the wrong word of choice. Amps do one thing, how they do it varies, always has, and will continue to change in the future. Does that mean it becomes somehow inferior as time passes ? Maybe....maybe not. The newer ice amp modules may be better....may be not, you can't assume from marketing hype. If they are better, doesn't mean the old ones are obsolete or outdated as someone will still prefer that sound of the older modules. Simply a matter of preferences is all.

I have yet. To hear any class D ice amps that sound great. If your hesitent then seek out something your more confertable with buying.

I would second that statement though also admit I haven't heard a great abundance of them.
