The Eagles

I have several of their albums on vinyl and one of these nights I'll get around to putting my tt into the system again. Until then, I want to get their 1st 2 or 3 albums on cd. Which remasters are worth getting?
Yep, my name really is Bob.

I actually didn't notice that until after I typed it :) I'm just hoping there are some suggested cd's that in the long run will give me a peaceful easy feeling and sound decent.

When Long Road Out Of Eden came out Wal mart had all the remastered one's and I got the first three as my vinyl of those had seen better days, they sound pretty good to me, all Eagles up until Joe Walsh joined are worth owning. They became way to commercial after Walsh joined the band. The Eagles with Randy Meisner, and Don Felder was the best version of the band.

They are also all available as 192/24 and 96/24 downloads from HDtracks. The only Eagles album I have on SACD is Hotel California, but I also have had that on DVD-A for years. The 2013 remastered CDs linked to above are pretty good too.

FWIW, I think that Joe Walsh's joining was coincidental, not causal -- although I've gotta say... I felt the same way about Michael McDonald's joining the Doobie Brothers.

I just received the box set of studio albums and so far sq is pretty good. I just can't get over it that mp3's cost more than the better(usually) sounding cd's. Anyhow, thanx for the tip on the box set!
