What do i do....

Hey everyone i have a pair of Polkaudio Rti8 towers and they seem to be playing a flat tone... its not the amp or amp settings, apart from turning up the treble to full to get a half decent sound. Which i don't and shouldn't have to do..... So my question is are they blown and fixable? or toast...

Thanks

    V. is right. Get that ear on it and play some noise hiss tone through it that's above the crossover cutoff. Something around 4-5Khz or higher, listen for the hiss!

Could very well be a blown tweeter.

I would assume either a blown tweeter like mentioned above or something blew in the crossover.

The crossover is easy to pull out from the back by unscrewing the binding post plate and looking for anything burnt or odd.

is it both speakers or just one?
