    Whats the budget ?....and length ? Whats the associated gear and speakers ?

    I'm looking at $500-600. Length is 12-13 feet. Speakers are lsim 703's and the amp is a parasound 2250.

    Check out Morrow Audio's site...lots of options..good quality stuff,not priced in the clouds...I have met the owner..checked out their facility...good people to deal with...

    Hi, please excuse my relative ignorance, but the subject of speaker cables has me a bit baffled. You have LSiM 703 speakers which, according to this site, cost $749 each (or maybe $1,100 per pair on eBay), and your budget for speaker cables is $500 - $600.
    To put this in my context, when I bought my TSx 550t's, I bought a 25 foot roll of Energy brand 12 gauge "performance" speaker cable for (I think) about $20. Out of curiosity, I hooked up my old Monitor 7's with the new cable and was impressed by the improvement over the 16 gauge "lamp cord" quality speaker wire I've been using for the last 3 decades, so I bought a 50 foot roll to use my 7's as rear surrounds.
    I thought this speaker cable was a tad pricey, but worth the price for the extra performance, but you are budgeting a fairly large fraction of the cost of your speakers just for the cable. Is the increase in performance THAT much?? If this is a really dumb question, please be gentle.
    (then again, I'm still trying to figure out why LSiM 703's are worth 50% more than TSx 550t's)
