Hey!
I am thinking about buying some bookshelf speakers to connect to my laptop and dj setup. I was thinking about R15 or R20 I think they should be suitable. I was wondering what type of amp should i buy to accomodate these speakers, and if i would need a sub to complete my setup?

thanks !

    Adcom GFA-535

HSU, SVS -- just to list a few sub companies

    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I think a better indicator of your needs would be a budget. Unless you wish to drop $500 + amplifier easily on the previous suggestion.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

The Adcom GFA-535 sells for 100-150 shipped

Now the cheapest SVS is 500

    cheapest HSU is 300...

The sub isnt required, but if he wants an amp.....

the Adcom is a good choice for the money!

    Mark,
Sorry if I misunderstood your post, just sounded like you were saying the amp costs 500

Carver would be a another great low cost option for amplification and is normally a staple in DJ gear.

Trey - No not at all, that would be crazy :)
