RT5000 (RT3000p, CS1000p, FX1000) - Will drive up to ~150mi -$1800

In Chicagoland area. Willing to drive up to 150 miles to meet you. I could ship the system, but would be about $280 on average. I'm moving on to the next stage of my life and simplifying all around. You will probably see several ads from me here over the next few months.

So what we have here is the complete RT5000p system in Rosewood:

-Fronts: RT3000p powered fronts (each has a powered seperate subwoofer containing 2 custom 8" drivers)
-Center: CS1000p - the best center Polk ever made - contains 2 powered sub drivers
-Surrounds: FX1000 - dipole/bipole switch - fantastic dispersion
-All power cords (3)
-An extra WORKING subwoofer amp for the RT3000p's (as these were custom to the unit these can prove invaluable as they're nearly impossible to come across) second hand are usually ~$300

I've put a lot of work into these and they are in perfect working order. Additionally the cabinets are all 9/10 condition. The real rosewood veneer is fantastic and intact. Corners are sharp. no snags, pulls, or rips in any of the 9 grills. Really, the speakers are in fantastic condition. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer set, and I know you won't find one with a backup amp and replacement drivers.

I'd be looking for about $1800

I'm not desperate and I'm not in any rush.

These were for sale once before for cheaper, but since then I have updated the amp/xover boards on the RT3000p

They really are wonderful speakers. I have them up for sale on Craigslist, but offering at a discount here. Let me know if you're interested.

I forgot to mention that I have 4 spare subwoofer drivers that I will be including. These are heavy little beasts. Each subwoofer uses 2 and these divers were unique to this speaker system, so finding them is difficult. With that said, these speakers should offer a very long and trouble-free theater life. These speakers are far more refined than you might imagine and the whole set retailed for $8k originally, and for good reason. Some awesome gear.

    Going to GoldenEar Triton Ones.
I'm fairly surprised there is no interest here. I get about 3 calls a day from the CL ad. These speakers are incredible and make for an extremely capable foundation if one wanted to expand into 7 or 9 channel by simply adding the readily available RTi55 bookshelf.

Oh, and if someone is looking for the whole show, completely plug and play, for $2750 I will include the following:
120' of Monster THX Speaker Cable
Pioneer Elite VSX-84TXSi (4 HDMI ports) (excellent)
    Epik Empire Subwoofer (excellent)
    Velodyne SMS-1 (mint)

Just make sure your foundation can handle it first ;)

Tanks for the endorsement. Yeah, this system in my opinion is near impossible to match at this price anywhere else. I'm very surprised that no one in interested. I suppose it is off to ebay with it. The people that have all come fromm craigslist ave been sketchy and I'd rather not deal with that right now on top of my move.

  • Would you be willing to do $1850 shipped. I live in NY. Let me know. I am looking at a few different Polk set ups online. I came across this and so it's on the list now...lol.

Please read the rules. First, you can't purchase with less than 100 posts. Second, all offers should be made via private message. Third, that offer is insulting. Do you realize how much this setup would cost to ship from Chicago to New York? At least a couple hundred bucks. Please be respectful.

It may not be his fault, @rooftop59. If he found these doing a Google search it could well have led him straight to this thread, and he might not have seen the Rules post at the top of the FS Section? And since it's his first post he may have just created a screen name to make his offer known. I agree it's not how we roll here but I doubt he would know that.
My main point here is that anyone can see any posts in this thread, whereas before you were actually blocked from even viewing this section; too bad the upgrade to Vanilla didn't keep that valuable feature intact...
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?
