Thanks to generous offer from polkaudio, I just received OMNI S2 wireless speakers that Mark sent to those who attended polkfest. I was not of sure what Mark would send to those attended but it was a pleasant surprise.
I've had a positive experience at polkfest with S2 and this one does not disappoint. I've taken some pictures and remembered that the driver differs slightly only because the one I got is not the engineering sample. It can be placed on its side or vertically. S2has rubber strips at the bottom so it won't scratch and provides stability.
Unboxed and it came in soft cloth with extra grill and power adapter. The unit itself is heavy compared to its size. My son likes the black grill cover.
I downloaded the app and let it played for a while which was easy. How does it sound??
It does sound good for its size and I will have to let it play for awhile before going in depth.

Wow! That's way cleaner looking than the engineering samples!
I still have both of them and I've been dragging them to friends houses and setting them up for parties or whatever and making people download the app. I think there are at least 4 sold as Christmas gifts so far when they are up for sale.
They are impressive little speakers and they get better after they break in a bit. Those surrounds are pretty beefy.
The connectivity capabilities are the real impressive part about them.
I'm going to get a couple of the pre-amps for my stuff. I gotta wait for paychecks though.

yes, John they are impressive for their size. It's all setup with wife's phone and using Pandora as main source. I am not sure the use for USB yet since I didn't see anything about it in the manual...

I believe it's similar to the Hampden computer speakers or the Woodburne deal.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
