It's a sad day today with news of Tom's death. I was just listening to a rerun of car talk this weekend thinking about how funny Tom and Ray were. He will be missed.

Didn't realize that their last live show was in 2012 until I read up on Tom's death."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

listening to a rebroadcast of a 2001 interview with the brothers on Fresh Air even as I type this. Available on-line, too:

An aside:
Once, long ago, when I worked in Cambridge, my old Chevy Cavalier had a water pump failure on my way to work (it was a cold and very damp morning -- I think I drove about 15 miles air cooled!). My company's purchasing director's boyfriend worked as a mechanic at a garage just down the street from our corporate HQ (such as it was). She got him to fix it and I picked it up later that night. Only the next day did I find out whose garage it was.

I've been tempted to take a vehicle or two to Goss' Garage of Motor Week fame. Sucks that they moved from Owings Mills to Lanham-Seabrook, though !
