WYRED 4 SOUND Pre Amp STP-SE Problem..

Last night I was listening to my stereo, and all was fine, I shut it down as I normally do.

Today I turned it back on to listen to some music, and my remote will not work, I know it's not the remote as it runs my DAC2 just fine but it will do nothing on the Pre Amp.

The pre is running, but I have to manually turn the volume up or down or switch inputs..

No clue to what could have happened but I'm bummed about it..

Larry, try a reset by unplugging the pre amp for a bit. If that doesn't work, something with the sensor circuit has gone bad.

I was thinking/hoping the same thing, I unpluged it last night, I will plug it back in when I get off work today. If not I will call W4S tomorrow, at least it's under warranty..

Hope you find a fix soon Larry, between spinning Vinyl and a pre with no remote, you're going to wear yourself out!

Both Toolfan66 and polkfarmboy issues sound familiar with the Wyred STP-SE and DAC-2 I had/have, unplug wait a couple minutes and plug it back in and you should be good to go. I vaguely recall there might be a system reset you may also need to perform on the STP-SE if thing get really crazy.

I will have my PreAmp back on Monday. They sent a email saying they had to change out the IR and a ground wire. They didn't go into any details as to what might have happened..

I'm just glad it's on its way back..
