My apologies if this is in the wrong place, I have been offered four of these for what seems to be a good price, but I am finding next to no information on these online (so I don't even really know when they were made, so if they are really "vintage" or not.) I did see one reference that stated that these were basically "the same as" the Monitor 30s which were supposedly good speakers, but that's about it. Can anyone confirm/deny? Other info?
thanks!
thanks!

Forgot to add, if I did pick these up, what would be an appropriate center channel to match? Seller doesn't have one, thinking maybe CS1?

I do believe you are correct. The Te series was a Monitor (21st century Monitor series (M-30, etc., so not really vintage, but discontinued) marketed abroad, mostly. Perhaps in Europe? Maybe someone from Polk could confirm that.
If so, yes, the CS1 would be the match, or even the larger CS2 as that would give you more "punch" for you dialogue channel.
Good Luck!

OK thanks. I sent the guy a message already asking if I could come look at them today and I'll go with cash in hand, hopefully he still has them - he did as of Saturday.

What's the difference between the CS1 and the CS10? There is one of the latter on my local C'list.

Well I got 'em. They sound nice (hooked up upstairs at my place right now, on my roommate's system... I dunno if he'll even notice the new speaks) and I think I've figured out the differences. These have a black face whereas the sub (PSW-10) and the Monitor 30s would have had a silver face behind the grille. So I should be looking for a CS-1 or CS-2 series ii to get the matching black face for both a sonic and aesthetic match. CS-10 *appears* different so that may be a no go. This is actually going to be part of a gift - GF mentioned something about wanting help picking out a new HT system to replace her s****y HTIB, so I'm trying to put something together low budget that will hopefully blow away anything she could get for what she'd be likely to pay while not killing my own wallet - so while yeah, I'm shopping on CL I'm trying to not only make it work, but make it look good too.
Think this one is mostly sorted, just need to measure her entertainment center to see what center channel will fit; then order the appropriate one off Polk's eBay store, and find a receiver...
