I remember hearing some stories that Ginger Baker was telling about how Jack kept cranking up the volume on his bass amp and Ginger banging on those drums as loud as he could to try and be heard! I would have loved to see him play back in his prime.

R.I.P. Mr Bruce, it's getting scary as we are all getting older. Might have to squeeze in some BLT him and Trower tear it up on that one.

I guess I kinda forgot that he was classically trained, very well trained in Scotland and won very prestigious awards for cello, composition, etc., among other things. I don't even think he was 19 years old when he was playing in the most prestigious blues bands in London. He was only about 23 in Cream IIRC. I guess what I really liked about him, besides his voice, was his ability to jam with Clapton and Baker. I played Live Cream and Live Cream II alot when I was a kid, and those guys were in a class of few who could really jam like that in a period when jam was an art form. I guess I also didn't understand the depth of his addictions. Really too bad. RIP.
