Should I change my center channel from cs 350 to csi A6?

I love my cs350, but I am now replacing my klisch 70 with RTI a9's. Do I really need to get a CSi A6? Will there be a big difference if I keep my CS 350? Thanks

The A6 is an exact timbre match to the 9's. Your 350 (while no slouch) is probably not going to match very well. If you can, try it before you get the A6. It may sound OK to you.

I love my CS350 too, in fact I have 2 of them. Welcome to CP!!

  • Thanks. I was worried that they would not match as well, but I was crossing my fingers. Does this mean I should also change my rear FX500I? I hope not.

Rears aren't nearly as important to match as the front 3. Whatcha got back there? Also, how are you planning on powering the A9's? They need lots of juice to sound good.

  • Hi Ken, I am using a pioneer elite SC-77. I have two Fx500i for rear and then two round gallo rear surround speakers. My room is fairly large with high ceilings. Really want to get the best sound for movies and xbox one. I am looking for ver clean sound and I am looking to spend up to $3000 for two new front speakers and a great center channel.

You'll need more power to make those 9's come alive.

+1 on the A6 and giving those A9s more juice.

Welcome to Club Polk, You should listen to the system with the old center in place before you make the new purchase, it might sound just fine to you, If it does, then put that money towards a 200wpc 5 channel amp and kick the whole system up a notch.
