Edge of Tommorow: Live, Die, Repeat Sub damage possible

I just watched this blu ray and in the first 30 seconds there is a pulsing bass that nearly blew my subwoofer. It comes out of no where and was way too much for my 12" Sunfire. Very odd. At first I thought my sub was malfunctioning. Huge excursion. Scary!!

Anyone else notice this? Beware.

I just watched this BR over the weekend. First, I loved the movie. Second, I start out movies at a low volume, and then increase it as I get an idea of how loud it will be. I did notice after I had it turned up there were parts that were bass intensive. However, I rarely use my sub aymore, so it was just bass from all 5 speakers.

  • Here is another thread that explained what is going on a little better. https://www.avforums.com/threads/bass-levels-on-edge-of-tomorrow-warning.1911874/ It seems that people with really awesome subs might want to check it out.
