Are these the same guys as Brit Floyd? Damien Darlington, Ian Cattell, et al?
If so you are in for a treat, I've seem them twice now and each show was excellent IMO.
    Congrats on scoring the tix.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Ok so they're a different band. The current Brit Floyd was once called Australian Pink Floyd, I was curious. Hope it's a good show anyway, cool if you can review them too.

I've heard great things from a colleague about Aussie Floyd. Definitely report back both with quality of show, and which albums they focused on. I'd hope it's a mix of popular stuff (DSOTM) and less popular stuff (Animals, Meddle, etc.)

I really enjoy a good cover band to be honest. I've seen Zoso a couple of times, and they rocked the house both times. Well worth the $15-20 bucks I paid for admission.

Well the show was great! the lights were just like a Floyd show. they had an inflatable kangaroo for 'one these days'..great song selection..they played 'set the controls for the heart of the sun'! they looked like they were having fun too
only gripes...the opening number was 'shine on'..everything was pure Floyd magic..that ended with the first guitar solo..Gilmour's tone is clean deep - neck pickup, bluesy...the aussie pf guitarist's tone was annoyingly trebly.
also, the song selection is well worn by Floyd and the radio...with each song they seemed to strive for a note-for-note rendition...all that does imo is it makes it very obvious that two guitarists cant do what one Gilmour can do.
so, more improve within the pf structure would be cool to hear..
also there was no quadrofonic sound..all the sound came from the stage only.
the guitarist who played the pedal steel killed on that instrument..the comfortably numb was another killer..
all in all, despite a couple gripes, I enjoyed it! btw, they played for 2:40;)

My dad has seen them in concert a couple times, and he's seen the original Floyd as well. He says they put on a really terrific show. I think I'd like to see them.
