sb5000 sound bar cutting out

I got the sound bar from best buy, I love the clarity and base but this is the second time I will have to take it back, thank god for the replacement plan. is it just not meant for loud music or what. the sub cuts out and the light in the back flickers. I tried to talk the wife into a component setup but she wanted the sound bar.

If you reduced the playing volume very slightly does it still shut off?
