Sharing some good news!

Hello everyone,

Just thought I'd pass along some good news - for the last four years my wife, daughter's and I have been renting after a short-sale in South Jersey. We've been living in the Lehigh Valley for the past 4 years renting a house that was good enough, but certainly not a home. One week ago we saw a house, made an offer, it was accepted just a few days ago. We had our home inspection today and all went well. Now, it's starting to feel real. Obviously, it's not a done deal until closing (Black Friday - November 28th) but it looks good now, and I feel comfortable sharing (Although I also just knocked on wood). Everyone feels happy and relieved! :)

I hope everything works out. The time between now and Nov 28 will be gut wrenching and stressful, but it will all be worth it once you get the keys!!!

    This is very important...^^^^^^

When we got our house just under two years ago, I started with the negotiating right away. When it was all said and done...she gets the master bath and master closet...I get a HT in the basement, a 2-ch in the living room, and a man-cave (11' x 11' room).

    I'll take it!

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. Congrats! You're lucky. I was in my mid-40s when we bought our first house-and this is your second? Bet you're younger than that? lol

Where in the LV are you? Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown, etc.?

Not a bad area: equidistant from Phillie and NYC, less than two hours from either. More like 80-90 minutes!

As for deronb1's post; hey try selling a house in Maine that's not in the SOUTH--the "affluent" South?

    1. It will take years to sell.
    2. You'll never make much over your original purchase price, if that.

Thanks all - I'm moving from Easton (Palmer Township for those in the area) to Upper Nazareth. It's literally a 10 minute move, so not too far. This will be my third home - from my starter to my "Dream Home" to forced last relocation due to family sickness/short sale, and now my last home (That's the plan at least). No man cave - but huge house - about 3,000 square feet, huge master bedroom and family room - the music will be in the family room. Will have to do :)

Hey, congrats to you. I can understand what you are going through. I'm in a second rental myself since relocating for my job to IN from MI back in 2012. Been looking around at buying but not so sure of the market or my future plans just yet. I hope to buy again at some point.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
