Crown XLS series has pretty good reviews as home audio amp.
I have XLS1500 but not used for Polks.
If you search this forum, there are other Polkies using Crown XLS amps with Polks.
This guy at hometheaterequipment has great results using XLS drivecore amps with high end speakers.

This thread has user reviews using this amp with Polk Monitor 70's, Martin Logan, Revel Salon 2's etc... and all are positive.

I am using a xls 1500 on my SRS2s and I like it well enough, honestley never heard them sound so good, but never had a realy good amp on them either. I'm sure its true that a parasound or other better cunsumer grade amp would sound better, senoir members have stated that in many threads, but for the money to get some power on them I dont know if it can be beat. Using a pioneer VSX 1124 for a preamp.

Thanks guys for your input. Truly appreciated. just have to wait for it to get here and I'll let you guys know how it sounds.

Welcome to the room, watch out for the quick sand in here as it will grab you and not let you go.
I have ran the xls series-1500 and the 2500 on my SDA's before and they are quite loud amps that can certainly "shake the foundation". That being said, when I got my Parasound 2250, the sound was somehow to my ears more complete IMO. As far as price point goes, crown is an added bonus. -
For HT use you will probably be satisfied. For music, the sound may come across as a tad bright or forward.

well i hooked up my rti 12s with a crown xls2500 and a H/K avr3700 and am a bit disappointed with the low end suffice it to say i need a subwoofer...can any one suggest a good tight sounding sub?

Don't be afraid to mess with placement either. Toe them in some, and move them closer to or away from the wall behind them. Moving them closer to the back wall will usually increase bass response at the cost of some imaging, but sometimes moving them away from the wall will help depending on the details of the room. I am only powering my RTI12's with 125wpc and bass is not a problem, however placement was the key.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. the first time I got my Adcom 585 for my RTi12 using an Onkyo as the pre. They did not impress me. But after running the Audessy calibration I was blown away by the improvement.HTAVR-Pioneer SC99XPA-DR3 Differential Reference AmpPolk R-700Rear- RT150Side- RT150Center-CSi5Sub-Rythmik audio F25Player- Panasonic DP-UB9000Projector- Optoma CinemaX P2Screen- Silver Ticket Products STR Series 6 120"Audio Room 2ch rig.Cary AE-3, Onkyo M-504, Marantz SA8005, Azur 851NWharfedale - Linton, SVS SB12-NSDMinis Forum PC (streamer) and Panamax MX5105Headphone rig;Schiit JOTUNHEIM and different headphones.Samsung 42" flat screen TV. -
Yeah i have adjusted the settings, impressive mid and high ends but I just can't get it to shake the walls like i have read in many posts. and when i set the volume too high the amp clips and i still can't get a kick from the bass at high volumes. I played David Guetta's Titanium at high volume hoping to get some of the kick from all that bass but the mid and high end get too bright still no kick....come on 6 woofers?. However the RCA cables connecting the amp to the avr are cheap so i just got a "Monster THX advanced bla bla whatever cable" perhaps it will make a difference when i connect it later today. I will try out your suggestions and see how it goes. Thanks everyone

Have you ran the ez set room correction yet? Can you provide some info about your room? How big is the room? Does it have a lot of sound absorbing materials such as heavy carpeting, thick drapes and furniture? How far away are the speakers from the side walls and your listening position?Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. Cheapo cables will never sound good on the more revealing speakers....including monster stuff.
Did you set the receiver to "no" subwoofer...set the speakers to "large" ? What speaker cables are you using ? Whats the source...cdp...computer ?HT SYSTEM-

One thing to also keep in mind, is that the RTI12's despite having three 7" drivers are designed to give a flat (accurate) frequency response across the range. It is somewhat deceiving having the six large drivers, but the crossover point is at 120hz for the 7" drivers, therefore 90% or so of the sound is coming from the the two 5" drivers and the tweeter. Yes the lower bass is delivered to the 7's, but it is designed to be accurate (clean) and not inflated, hence the front and rear ports. In addition, most auto eq programs also try to achieve a flat response. It takes some getting used to but in the end I think you will grow to enjoy the sound of the 12's. A subwoofer can always be added if you still desire more bass, but somethings can be done with placement as I mentioned above to increase the bass response.Oh, Listen here mister. The speakers cables are "Monster Standard 100 -10' - Speak-On to Banana Plugs" (thats how its written on the pack) they look and feel solid too. Connecting the amp to the avr I had used an av cable that came with an old LG dvd player and after changing to the new monster cables the sound was quite improved, the low end picked up quite considerably, the faint hissing sound is completely gone. The room is 6m x 4m, hard granite floors no carpeting just a small center rug, venetian blinds not drapes and leather seats. Once set to the 2 channel setting the ez set correction icon was disabled so i had to do a manual correction. Yes the subwoofer is set to "no" and the speakers at "large" by default for 2channel setting. @jeremymarcinko i guess you're right about the speaker design. By and large it is now giving me a pretty good solid sound overall but....

but what ?? You still haven't said what the source is for music...speaker cables. Part of an enjoyable experience is matching the right gear/speakers/cables and so far as I can tell all your choices are something 95% of us would not choose.
Still has to be something in your setup menu your missing, those speakers can produce boat loads of bass but it won't be like a subwoofer if that's your goal. If it is, then SVS/HSU/Velodyne/REL/Revel would be some of my choices.HT SYSTEM-

Wow am definetly doing this wrong. I did mention my speaker cables they are monster standard 12 gauge speakon to banana cables my sources are a ps4 and an iPad2 connected to the h/k avr 3700 directly as it does not have the airplay (the iPad i mean). @DSkip what cables would you recommend am obviously useless at this. Was out of town for the weekend just tried to play some music this morning before heading to work and i noticed the hissing sound is back did not have the time to tinker around with the settings tho.

I ordered bulk speaker wire from Monoprice and got my banana plugs there as well.
They use to have a first time buyer coupon floating around, not sure if it's still good. -
I played David Guetta's Titanium at high volume hoping to get some of the kick from all that bass but the mid and high end get too bright still no kick....come on 6 woofers?.
To get bass you need an amp with a beefy power supply pumping out gobs of current, so time to go amp shopping.Monster cables are absurdly bad.
Same could be said about Monoprice, might even be worse.Political Correctness'.........defined

May be this is relevant.
I tried XLS1500 and it sounded really dry, thin and hollow.
Bass was very light compared to QSC 1450 and Rotel RB-990bx.
I really was hoping for it to sound good but nope.
Class D may be what to blame.

Class D done right is a pretty good thing. Think Wyred4Sound, Red Dragon Audio, Bel Canto, Rotel's Class D products et al.
Class D done mediocre is exceedingly mediocre. Unfortunately, a lot of the pro amp options fall into this category. Not all...some do it well but the field is littered with a whole lot of **** and not many truffles.

Yes I agree ,I have already moved on to a tfm 35 that has been recapped. Sounding better everyday, while I save for that parasound.
