MLB Playoffs

Helluva way to start things tonight, great game in KC!

I don't know that KC has the talent to go far in the playoffs but they played a great game tonight, clutch pitching by Fenigan in the later innings,

Well, the game tonight certainly wasn't as fun to watch as a neutral party...

I was hoping to see KC get the series win since SF has had their share lately, but it's hard not to be impressed by Bumgarner. Not only has he been clutch in the games he started, but to see him come out in relief tonight and have a game like this is unreal.

Basically as soon as that guy stepped on the field the Royals lost any reasonable chance they had to win the game, and I think everybody there including the Royals knew that.

Bumgarner was a freak this post season (and every World Series he's pitched in).

He was old school this World Series and I love it. Pitch count???? Forget that, I'm trying to win a World Series.

And tip of the hat to Bochy for letting him do it. How many managers would have even let him pitch tonight much less go 5 innings and 70+ pitches. Total greatness!!

Except for the fact that I wanted KC to win:(

I was disappointed that the Royals couldn't pull it off. But, when Bumgarner came in, I knew it was lights out.

He is an incredible athlete that has a given talent, reminds me of a Jim Palmer, but also has a 95 mph fastball in his bag of tricks.

Great 7th game none the less, I feel like we're watching Baseball history being made when Madison takes the mound, he's fun to watch.

Bumgarner is one of those intimidating pitchers whose mere presence on the mound weakens the knees of batters!

He brought Sandy Koufax to my mind last night.

Well, at least that is the perception of this rank amateur and baseball fan! :)

I have never understood this. "We won the World Series, lets go trash the town." Unbelievable, yet it happens time and again.

That was what was really cool when the Seahawks won the Super Bowl last year. Millions flooded downtown Seattle and NO damage or a single arrest IIRC...

"We're number one,". Morons. All they do is watch TV, and drink beer, yet they think they are special because somebody else won a game.

I agree with Ken. The last time the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl there was no damage and not a single arrest. Of course, it was 20 degrees below zero.
