So I think we need some fresh threads to keep this forum alive so here's one--

My HT consists of- LS90's x2, CS350LS, LSfx x2, LS50 x2, Sub by SVS (sorry Polk :) ) for 7.

Office rig- I switch between my RTA12b's and RTA8t's. There's 4 more.

Also have a pair of RT600i's and a 2nd CS350 currently on loan to my son. +3 more.

One of my favorites is my Hitmaster. What a cool little unit. Polk really screwed the pooch by marketing it as a "gaming monitor". I have found many uses for it. +1 more.

Ultra Fit 2000 headphones for casual listening.

That's 16. My wife thinks I have a sickness, prove her wrong.... Is there a difference between "collecting" and "hoarding"?

    I have a pair of SDA SRS1.2s that are heavily modded and a pair of equally heavily modded 1Cs. I also have a pair of Polk noise canceling ear buds that I was given during PolkFest at HQ a couple of years ago.

    I'm now in the process -- so to speak (more accurately, Trey is in the process) -- of further upgrading the SRS 1.2s. Trey is taking the crossovers to about the highest level they can reasonably be taken, and I'll be installing RD-0198s. They will emerge as 1.2TLs.

    The 1Cs have been modded about as far as they can go, and they are great. I have to do 1.5-2.0 hours of physical therapy five days per week, and the lovely sound from those 1Cs is what has made that regimen bearable for years.

    I would not give up either pair of the SDAs for any other set of speakers even remotely in their price range (even adding in the cost of the mods). Among the high end speakers my wife and I have auditioned, only one speaker system, Nola Grand Reference IV.1, has tempted us. (I've mentioned alternatives we have auditioned in a few other threads.)

    Several high-end audio salespeople have tried to talk me out of believing in the SDA effect, but I hear it and I appreciate it. It fills the room and envelopes me in the music.

    The Polk ear buds are great, but I do not spend much time with them, except when flying. In that environment, they are definitely a Godsend. Not only do they allow me to listen to good music with high SQ, they also dampen all that airplane noise that is both hard on the ears and fatiguing on long flights.

    How "Polked" am I?

    I guess I'd say, "I'm bePolked pretty thoroughly!"

    And, by the way, I have been since I laid eyes and ears on my first SDA SRSs and 1Cs in 1989, when I bought my 1Cs.

    I have a mix of older and newer Polks running in my home.
    My sig below lists some of that.

    But in addition. My bedroom system is a couple of Rti-4s, Csi-3 and small Polk sub on an Onkyo TX-SR 604.

    Two LSi-7s in the office.

    An all Polk HT (except sub) below.

    Two channel: all vintage Monitors with an SDA and some "tubes" thrown in.

    And I'll probably upgrade the LSi-7s to LSiM 703s at some point soon?

    Also have some Rti-A3s that may replace the Rti-4s in the bedroom, or move to a full 5.1 surround?

    Polk is still a good value for your dollar if you're doing two channel or HT. I hope they remember that as they ipod, and desktop out!

    I think that's all.

    I'd like to have a pair of MiniMonitors and the very original version of the Monitor 4 (with the Peerless silk dome).

    I used to have a purchased-new LF14; donated it (or at least tried to) back to Polk some years back. Not sure if it ever actually made it, though...

    found some really nice SRS 2.3tl's within 3 hour drive but they won't fit :(

    I think you would love either of these, I have both un-modded and like them a lot. As soon as I have the time I will upgrade them.

    Sweet! let me know how it goes when ya do...upgrading my 10's was the best thing I ever done! without a doubt they are the best speakers I have heard, though I haven't heard a lot. even if I never find a pair of SDA's I got my 10's :)

    7's are very nice unless of course you like SDA.

    When I joined the forum in 2010 I had a pair of RTA 12C's (original owner since 1984, now fully modded), which are now doing front L-R duty in the HT along with a little CS 10 for the CC. 3 years ago I added a set of 2.3TL's (now fully modded) and a pair of CRS+ (mods in process).
