Found my center (CS1000P) but critters found it first!!
Well, been looking for a little bit but I finally found a Rosewood CS1000P center channel. It arrived a little more rough than I had hoped but it's not too bad. Man is it BIG...not that I didn't know the size, but lifting it and seeing it in person really SHOCKED the family, LOL!
Here is it with the CS400i on top:
Like all used speakers I clean them up...even pull them apart before I do anything with them. A couple of times (RT800i, CS4000i) I found waste, etc from little critters like chipmunks, girbals, etc. living inside. Sure enough, I pulled the drivers out of this unit and here we go again!
Disgusting! So, I got her all vacuumed, washed, disinfected, waxed, etc and set up. I had to balance it on my make shift stand witch is now too small. I plan to make a custom one for it with the height and angle that I need. Also my AVR is sitting on the floor as it gets too hot to go in the rack. I will sit it on a slab of granite or something under the stand when I get it done.
Here it is added to the system in my too small room. I had to stuff two couches, a love seat, and a wing back in it here. Moved from a 1900 Sq ft w/living, and family rooms to a 1400 Sq ft w/ just a smaller family room. i removed the grills for the picture;
Well, I calibrated the system and the dynamic range seems to have improved with this cal. I did turn the levels up all around. At first voices from the center sounded congested and raspy compared to the CS400i. However, turning down the bass level helped to clear this up. It sounds good but not as huge of a difference from what I can tell just yet. However, I did fire up a FOCAL demo disc with just the center playing and it was pretty full sounding....pretty cool!

Looks like some small rodent. I got the shop vac and my disinfectant spray out. I spayed the entire inside, outside, and port. From the pictures the guy sent...it looks like it might have been stored in a garbage. The same was true with the past speakers I had.
So, check the insie of your speakers if you purchase them used....speciay ifthe wee stored outsde.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2 -

You typed that the speaker was in the garbage so obviously critters got to it.

Yeah, what the hell? Its like I was drinking or something....there are a lot of broken and misspelled words. Should have been "garage."2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2
